The plan is for everyone to meet at Churchill's Pub and Grill at 9:30 AM on Saturday the 7th of March.  We would visit the scene of the accident for a bit and then head out to the 60.  There we go through Globe to 70 on to Safford and down to San Simon.

MapQuest puts it at about 4½ hours.

I figured we have a break in Globe and another in Safford for water, snacks or whatever anyone wants.  That should have us getting into San Simon about 3:30.

This would be a B.Y.O.B. event and there is a truck stop down there, on the way, that sells it if needed.

Just nice easy ride and if people want to follow along great or if they want to just go straight to San Simon they could do that too, no pressures.

Once in San Simon, the family is hosting the First Annual Hawk Stock.  The festivities will will include food and entertainment and all the proceeds from the evening will go towards the Julio J. Gonzalez Scholarship Fund.

So I sent JJ A follow-up to make sure everything was still on and for directions for those driving down and this was his reply:

Hey Nate, Yeah I'm still riding down Saturday morning. Meet Churchill's 9:30 leave at 10:00. I figure we stop in Miami where we did the other weekend then when we get into Thatcher, Safford area there is a Sonic Taco Bell and Gas Station in front of an old Wal-Mart building so We'll have plenty of parking and all that.

As for the directions for the house you'll get off I-10 exit 378 and just head into town. About 2 miles then you'll come to the main cross road named Cochise. Take a left and you go across the railroad tracks and take a left at the T intersection and then you will take a right on the next main road which is Mahan Road. Then the property is on the right. Can't miss it. Off White house sitting off the road with porch and blue trailer just a little further behind it.

If you MapQuest N. Mahan Rd and 3rd st. San Simon AZ 85632 you can get a good picture of the roads in town.
