Welcome to The Julio J Gonzalez Memorial Ride Website

On February 23rd 2008, Julio J Gonzalez lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accidant. Although, Julio lives on in each one of his family memebers and friends on a daily basis, every year around this time we gather together to remember this young man as a group. During this event we hop on our bikes and we take a ride to visit the memorial that was placed near the scene of hte accidant. From there, we take a ride up to Roosevelt Lake, a run that we frequented often with Julio. After the ride, we come back full circle to eat, drink and be merry in Julio's honor.

In addition to comradery the purpose of this memorial ride is to raise funds for the Julio J Gonzalez Scholarship Foundation. This foundation is a committee that screens Seniors of the San Simon High School, Julio's alma matter, in order to provide a college scholarship to an individual who might not otherwise be able to attend an institute of higher learning.

  • Memorial Ride Schedule
    We will meet at Fibber McGees at 9:00 AM and plan on ridding to the scene of the accident promptly at 10:00 AM. Then on to Roosevelt Lake where we will stop for lunch along the way and then circle back around to Fibber McGees.
